Position Tilte: Service Centre Training Regional Implementation Lead Location: Dalian
This is a planned position that is required to support the regional efforts for Client Service Center training implementation. This individual will eventually roll into a Program Support role upon the conclusion of the implementation work.
DIMENSION & SCOPE
The role is responsible for consulting with clients to create/design custom training solutions for new and existing customers as well as large and small accounts/projects. Solutions may be consistent with Company’s existing offerings; range in type from impact mapping; blended programs and curricula to single courses [Instructor Lead Training (ILT) and e-learning]; vary in type of training (for example sales; product; application); vary in industry area (IT; Financial Services; Manufacturing; Pharmaceuticals; Retail). Solutions may also require defining processes and best practices for new offerings. Implementation may require leading a team of 2-12 Learning Strategists.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create/define and present solution/learning/project approaches and scope to buyers in the sales process and to clients in the design phase. Identify/confirm high-level customer business objectives, audience requirements, primary needs, and drivers. Actively recommend types of training and delivery to best achieve client goals. Develop a productive rapport with customer teams and business stakeholders by facilitating design sessions, presenting finished work and confirming expectations on a regular basis. Guide clients in making design decisions. Use information gleaned in sales and preliminary design process to educate development teams as they start projects, refine project scope, design for varied learning modalities, define assessment needs, determine appropriate topic areas of learning, and create instructional plans. Design e-learning curriculum and complete impact mapping for new and existing clients. Lead content authoring process: pilot new tools; author highly complex content, when necessary; lead team of Learning Strategists in the creation of course content; and mentor them in the application of specific designs. Manage all instructional design aspects of course development—including testing, delivery, and maintenance. Define development processes for projects that do not follow standard approaches/meet typical requirements. Collaborate with technology team to identify implementation issues and constraints; communicate technology requirements to development team. Set project quality standards and share among team members; drive quality assurance through Style Guide rollout and peer reviews. Seek and apply formative feedback from evaluation of the courseware. Drive, document and roll out best practices for design with Learning Services. Contribute to the company’s industry presence by presenting at trade shows/conferences and contributing to publications.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in related field from a four-year college or university with six to eight years related experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree preferred
CANDIDATE PROFILE Four to eight years experience in collaborative training development – designing (and/or leading teams in the design/implementation), creating and evaluating self-paced, interactive instructional content. Minimum five years experience working with clients in a consultative role. Must have ability to assess content design approaches and make content design decisions given course parameters. Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent oral and written communications skills. Experience in writing for various styles and formats including Web-based learning, instructor-led training, technical documentation, presentations, and dialogue; experience maintaining consistency in style across a large build/learning program. Experience authoring original content in collaboration with subject-matter experts or through research. Experience conducting training/performance needs analysis. Excellent client consulting/interfacing skills; must be able to guide and align clients around specific implementation recommendations. Excellent meeting facilitation, presentation and presence; experience presenting to different audiences/levels (e.g., VP level). Strong team-leadership skills; experience leading people with different business perspectives on a project; ability to coordinate work among team members, including those in different countries/time zones. Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to solve problems and resolve conflict within a team. Ability to make decisions based on multiple criteria and information from a variety of sources. Passionate and enthusiastic about the learning field; demonstrated interest in the profession. Expertise with e-learning industry standards, including AICC, SCORM, IEEE; familiarity with common technologies including LMS, LCMS, Delivery, and Authoring products. Must have technical systems training experience nor any instructional design expertise Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed on assignments. Willingness to travel. Strong project management and follow-up skills; strong ability to multi-task and continually prioritize and reprioritize given changing project tasks/deliverables. Proficient with various software applications including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as synchronous tools (e.g., WebEx).
Under direction of Global Implementation Lead this individual will: -Manage regional design and development of curriculum leveraging global design and best practices -Drive regional design/solution including instructional and technical design working closely with dedicated resources from each area as needed -Onboard training team introducing processes tools templates and SMEs that support design and development -Monitor quality consistency and alignment to global training model -Consult with regional operations to determine service center model -Identify and communicate business process training impacts to regional training team -Coordinate with IT to manage training environments development and related issues -Assist module developers in determining detailed data requirements -Manage the training-the-trainer (TTT) program classroom logistics scheduling class prep and post-training floor support -Manage completion and distribution of readiness recommendations -Work with local vendors to coordinate any regional training provided through vendors -Work with PDC administrator to implement content posting and tracking processes for region -Provide feedback for individual team members to improve performance
