Job Duties: Manage overall implementation of new projects in North East China, not only the EDI PPP Project. Establish SOP and ensure compliance from all related parties. Establishment of performance metrics to measure respective Schenker and sub-contractor performance and monthly reporting thereof. Manage relationship with client, manufacturers as well as Schenker colleagues both in China and internationally. Establish HSE practices / process in accordance with Schenker corporate HSE standards for all project related activity in China. With regard to PPP Project, oversee inbound freight, domestic trucking, warehousing as well as outbound port services and vessel loading in Dalian Port. Share knowledge and information with colleagues throughout Schenker network. Support domestic and global Project initiatives of Schenker colleagues. Prepare customer account reports (performance reports and a monthly report covering overall implementation status) and participate in service presentations to clients and supply chain participants on a regular monthly/quarterly basis.
Knowledge and Skills This is a Management level position. It will require: Solid project logistics industry knowledge & experience, (general projects and O&G) Solid Ocean Freight Knowledge of heavy lift and break-bulk vessel operation, Project operations knowledge & experience, Warehousing Experience, Trucking Experience, Technical equipment knowledge, Strong business acumen & deal making capacity, Leadership skills, Coaching skills, Excellent interpersonal skills, Team player orientation, Solution solving and analytical skills, Fluency in English and Mandarin is required, fluency in German a bonus, Strong computer skills required, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred, (Engineering or related field) Generally prefer 3-6 years of related experience. |
