Responsibility: -To build and manage a capability for the client through the development of a strategic support centre for the Asia Pacific Region. This involves the recruitment and management of sourcing professionals, including objective setting, appraisals, motivation and coaching. -Day-to-day buying of non-strategic goods over the phone or via email/eRequisition tools - typically from an existing supplier with lower levels of spend -Completion of buying process initiated by the user including supplier selection from pre-selected suppliers -Tendering & contracting based on standard predefined applications and contracts. Identification of exceptional processes (maverick buying) -Able to manage the day-to-day work of Vendor Management and Contract Management Analysts as well as Monitoring & Tracking Specialists. This requires a working knowledge of these areas and the ability to resolve issues and provide relevant managerial support as required -Facilitate collaboration with onshore Sourcing contact(s), in relation to sourcing matters as well as vendor and contract management. Seek ways to improve service quality by initiating process excellence improvements. -The implementation and management of procurement policies and procedures to manage the acquisition of all products and services from third party suppliers. -To support the implementation of procurement technology and systems to streamline the buying processes, improve controls and generate management information relating to spend and supplier performance. -To contribute towards annual cost savings in excess of $XM through the aggregation of Company's spend volume and compliance with preferred suppliers. -To continually promote the value that the procurement department can deliver the organization. -To participate as a member of Account Regional Management Team and assist the sharing of best procurement practices. -Implementation of a consistent supplier relationship management program to ensure that contractual obligations are adhered to and continuous improvements are realized. -Support Company Procurement Solutions to develop its ‘Outsourced Procurement Services Capability’ to service the needs of external clients. -Supporting other procurement activities as directed by the Geographic Services Lead and the Global Company Account Lead. -Assisting in measuring, reporting and improving compliance to sourced contracts and company standard procurement policies and procedures
Required Experiences & Skills: -A minimum of 3 years experience of building and managing a procurement department. -Experience in sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier management would be essential -International sourcing experience including customs and importation regulations. -Confidence and ability to demonstrate the value that professional procurement can deliver to the organization. -Strong contract negotiator with a good appreciation commercial law. -Self-starter, demonstrating initiative, ability to motivate, positive and customer focused attitude. -Ability to manage relationships effectively with all levels within customer & supplier organizations. -Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills. -Ability to work in a fast-paced, and results driven team environment. -Experience of working with e-procurement technology would be beneficial. -Competent in the use of Microsoft Office IT packages – (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project). -Excellent written and oral English language skills. -Project management experience. |
