BRIEF JOB PROFILE DESCRIPTION: Responsible for ensuring all customer payments are matched correctly upon receipt, resolving customer financial queries, developing intercompany financial documentation as required and reflecting these transactions on the General Ledger for countries serviced by Global Financial Shared Services Asia (GFSS - ASIA). In addition, the Accounts Receivable Analyst will play a key role in establishing AR policy and process for GFSS - ASIA.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Expertise -Matching payments received -Resolving customer financial queries -Managing overdue payments -Receive and resolve discrepancies (bank, business, customer contact) -Prepare and dispatch dunning letters -Receive and give inputs to initiate legal and insurance actions -Provide support to AR Team Leader (Regional) and Regional AR Analyst for credit control activities as required. -Month end processing and reporting requirements
Process Development -Assist in the establishing of AR processes necessary for steady state operation -Continually assess and perfect procedures as work is migrated into GFSS - ASIA from the markets
Reporting -Assist AR Manager to prepare and submit reports to New York Headquarters and markets (e.g. outstanding receivables)
Customer Service -Ensure SLAs are met and service is delivered to end users as expected.
Internal and External Representation -Maintain and develop relationships with relevant markets serviced by team and all major customers within those markets as appropriate.
Continuous Improvement -Proactively identify, rectify and follow-up on opportunities for proves improvement while maintaining the quality and development of our accounts, systems, processes and databases -Participate in projects that to address continuous improvement opportunities.
Requirement: -Ability to work independently, to work under pressure and to handle several projects at once -Ability to troubleshoot and adapt to changing needs -Experience in a multinational environment desirable -High level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility -Highly customer and service minded -Oracle experience desirable -Proficiency in PC skills (inc. Word and Excel) -Strong accounting, interpersonal, analytical thinking, and organizational skills -Respect for diverse cultures
Qualification: -Bachelor's degree majoring in Finance, Accounting, or other related field -Minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience required, international finance preferred -Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, -Strong verbal and written Japanese skills preferred
